Here is the download link of the working VMware unlocker that supports VMware Workstation versions 11 to 16 (all tested by me) on Windows 10, 11 and older versions 8.1 64- bit and Win 7 32-bit physical computers.if(typeof ez_ad_units!='undefined')ez_ad_units.push([[580,400],'sysprobs_com-medrectangle-3','ezslot_7',105,'0','0']);__ez_fad_position('div-gpt-ad-sysprobs_com-medrectangle-3-0');Unlocker version 3.0.4The latest unlocker version (3.0.4) released by the developer in February 2022 has several bug fixes and supports the guest macOS version up to macOS 13 (Ventura). Also, this utility works on Windows 11 computers with the latest VMware Workstation Pro (v 16) and Player products. We published a few guides about installing Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion OS X on VMware workstation using this unlocker.

1) Since this tool will be changing and updating the binary files of the VMware workstation, it is always good practice to backup the VMware program folder before executing the unlocker.2) After downloading the zip file, extract it.3) If you have the previous unlocker version, you must uninstall it first.

Mac Os X Unlocker For Vmware 9

If you have the older version of the VMware workstation earlier than version 11, you need the older version of the unlocker. Here is working Big Sur 10.16 on Windows 10 with VMware workstation 16.After patching the VMware workstation with this unlocker, the patch is no longer valid if you upgrade the VMware to any major versions. You may not be able to run or create macOS VMs anymore. You need to run the latest unlocker (which has the support of the VMware version you upgraded) to get the macOS virtual machine support again.

a) Visit the official site to download unlocker 2.0.7 (free registration required). This works for VMware workstation 11.b) For VMware versions 10, 9, 8 and 7, you need to get version 1.0.3.Here is the link to download.

In the older versions of unlocker, you may find different sets of files.Right-click on install.cmd file and select Run as administrator option as shown below. Also, you can start the command prompt as administrator on Windows 7 computer and execute install.cmd from the command prompt. Here is the working Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 on VMware workstation 9 with Windows 7 32-bit host after using the unlocker.

I installed the latest version of this patch in the latest version of ESX 5.1, it worked great and allowed me to spin up a Mac OS virtual machine in my ESX environment. After I installed it, I am unable to vMotion any virtual machines to this host. To test, I uninstalled it and vMotion began to work. My goal is to patch one host at a time without occurring any downtime to the virtual machines. This occurred when my hosts were on different versions. I upgraded all hosts to the latest and greatest for 5.1 and I still encounter the same issue. I can vMotion a few servers to this host with the unlocker installed, but after that vMotion breaks. The error I get is Operation timed out. It gets to 14%, Migrating active state of virtual machine. I am running VMware ESX Enterprise Plus 5.1.1157734. Any ideas why vMotion stops working with this patch installed?

The unlocked is only really working for standalone ESXi and there are known issues with vCenter including vMotion problems. I would post in the forum thread for ESXi and ask the folks there for advice -esxi-5-mac-os-x-unlocker/

Mac OS X Unlocker for VMware (AKA: macOS Unlocker for VMware, VMware Unlocker or Workstation Unlocker for short) is a universal unlock patch (actually a combination of the unlocker codes) developed by Donk from United Kingdom. As the best Mac OS X unlock patch for VMware virtual machine software on the Internet at present, it is capable of easily and quickly remove the function lock to Mac OS X (Server) in all VMware virtual machine products.

I downloaded the file (macosx_guest_vmware_7.tar.gz) just to see what it contains (in order to help you :-) ). Did you read the README file? Because, it has very clearly given instructions that you need to do in order to this patch to work.

I am running vmware workstation 12 pro . VMware unlcoker for vmware12 pro to unlock vmware and run mac osX as guest operation system in it.In terminal type sudo bash lix-install.sh from downloaded file. Now you will have option to install mac osX in vmware 12 pro

So is this working with vmware 15.5 and windows 10 version 1909? I want to create a new install myself with a mac image. And second question: can i use the same unlocker for older versions of mac osx like Tiger (intel?)

Once the .iso is finally uploaded to the datastore, it's now time to prep our ESXi host with the ability to run macOS in a VM. The unlocker is written python that modifies the vmware-vmx file to allow macOS to boot. Without this unlocker, the machine simply doesn't work and is suck in a sad infinite boot loop.

This occurs because the darwin.iso doesn't exist in the directory "/usr/lib/vmware/isoimages." Which is fine as these are the iso images that shipped with this version of ESXi that I installed. According to the KB 2129825 we have a few options in resolving this. I'm going to simply go with the option to download the latest VMware tools for this specific OS.

It looks like by default VMWare sets USB compatibility to 1.1, and the VM did not recognize my USB mouse or keyboard. Changing that to 2.x got those working. The VM you end up with will also work with Linux VMWare WorkStation. You need the Linux VMWare unlocker (in the same zip file that has the Windows one).

Hi again. I haven't tested what happens when VMware workstation is upgraded. I think if you don't see the option to create a macOS virtual machine, you'll need to rerun macOS unlocker. Hope that helps!
